Software Development Engineer, Modeling and Optimization

Job Description

Amazon is looking for motivated software development engineers to drive new systems to support fulfillment. The role involves developing an interactive web application to visualize Amazon's end-to-end supply chain and enable diving deep into business metrics.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy a range of products towards data visualization and interpretation
• Build real-time Big Data applications entirely on AWS using services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Kinesis, Glue, EMR, Redshift, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, Athena, and QuickSight
• Partner with research scientists focused on Optimization, Control theory, and Machine Learning to design newer systems for supply chain management
