Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their battery development and test team within Project Kuiper to build and deploy a satellite constellation for internet access.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in battery system design
• Strong experience in PCBA design and electrical testing
• Proficiency in schematic design and electrical drawings
• Familiarity with testing protocols and industry best practices
• Strong Python coding skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, selection, and development of battery cycler and emulator test systems
• Collaborate on the design of printed circuit board assemblies for Li-ion battery applications
• Design and build custom test systems for electrical tests on battery systems and components
• Troubleshoot and analyze battery system failures
• Define project scope and milestones for next-generation test systems
• Collaborate with Engineering to optimize products and approve qualification documents
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality controls
• Provide guidance to junior engineers in the battery development process
