Sr. Wireless Communication and DSP Engineer, Wireless Systems

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. The Systems Engineer role involves designing, developing, and integrating communication systems for the project.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in wireless communications
• Deep understanding of Multiple access systems and modem L1/L2 algorithms
• Experience in developing link and system level simulators using Matlab/Python/C++
• Knowledge of end-to-end network system architecture and software development processes
• Ability to work in a small team and deliver results beyond expectations

Responsibilities

• Design advanced L1/L2 algorithms and solutions for the Kuiper communication system
• Work on wireless communication L1/L2 procedures and ConOps document
• Collaborate with ASIC development teams and build power/area efficient L1/L2 HW accelerators
• Develop link-level and system-level simulators, and evaluate system performance
• Enhance/optimize procedures for new application scenarios and provide data on design trade-offs
• Work on test solutions for integrated system verification and test automation setup
