Sr. Software Development Engineer, Kuiper Government Solutions

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites providing broadband connectivity to unserved communities. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining critical APIs for US Government customers such as NASA and DoD.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new systems
• Experience as a mentor or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Utilize network topology understanding to develop APIs for Kuiper network team
• Lead internal and vendor teams in software development
• Ensure systems meet performance needs of Kuiper and US Government
• Communicate project health, risks, and issues to stakeholders
• Provide visualizations and document results
