Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

Job Description

Seeking an innovative engineer to design world-class fulfillment centers and logistics systems globally, with a focus on automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 5+ years Amazon experience
• 2+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
• Proficiency in business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software

Responsibilities

• Design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems
• Lead multiple projects from concept realization through design approval
• Serve as the primary technical contact for suppliers
• Collaborate with Ops Engineering team for project installation and commissioning
• Engage with the team to ensure successful installation and launch of designed systems
• Work on green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits projects
