EMC/EMI Engineer - Antenna, Hardware Development

Job Description

Amazon seeks an Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility (EMI and EMC) Engineer to join the Antenna Team for the Project Kuiper initiative, aiming to provide broadband connectivity to underserved communities via Low Earth Orbit satellites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent degree, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in a hardware development role focusing on electromagnetic environments or EMI/EMC
• 3+ years of experience with defining and conducting EMI/EMC testing for electronic components and systems

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for testing and qualifying subsystems
• Perform analysis of radiated emissions and susceptibility (RE/RS)
• Develop models for interference and shielding issues to mitigate and control emissions and susceptibility
• Coordinate EMI and EMC testing for satellites and subsystems
• Develop and maintain EMI/EMC test labs and equipment
